About us

We build GRC tooling we would want to use ourselves.

RealSec was born after years of working with Excel spreadsheets that were supposed to be "processing registers", Word files that were supposed to be "DPIAs" and emails that were supposed to be "audits". The conclusion was always the same: data duplicates, decisions get lost, deadlines slip.

We started with one question: why does a single DPO need to maintain seven tabs to answer something as basic as "do we have a DPIA for recruitment"? The business process, ICT system, data category and risk assessment are the same entities appearing over and over again.

So we built an engine. Not an Excel replacement. An engine that turns operational facts (processes, systems, suppliers) into regulatory signals (DPIA required, RTO mismatch, transfer without SCC, FRIA missing). Signals reach the right person, not a shared dashboard nobody reads.

RealSec is built by practitioners. Not by consultants who read the regulation, not by developers who have never seen a supervisory inspection. It is code written by people who have spent years on both sides: as DPO, as CISO, as auditor and as developer.

We are a small Polish company, fully self-funded, no VC, no pressure on quarterly growth. That means we can make calls like "no, we are not building that feature because it does not make sense" even if a customer would pay for it.

Three principles we hold firm.

01

We tell clients the truth about their compliance

If we see the processing register is empty, we say it is empty. We do not issue a "compliance report" with a green bar at 78%. Better to hear it now than at a supervisory inspection from the Polish DPA.

02

We do not sell modules you do not need

If you are a one-person hairdressing business, you do not need DORA. We will tell you that before the sale, not after. One DPO = Solo plan, not an attempt to upsell to Enterprise.

03

Config file > PowerPoint slide

Every architectural decision is recorded as code or a README. There is no "internal documentation in Confluence" that nobody can access. Open by default, internal by exception.
